Twitter #Weekendeats highlights: Happy Passover and Easter!
It’s the season for Passover and Easter. Whether you’re making haroset or packing Peeps into an Easter basket, there are plenty of good eats happening all week long. During Monday morning’s #Weekendeats chat on Twitter, some participants shared festive snacks for both holidays. Here are the highlights:
For a fun matzo topper, Shulie Madnick from the blog FoodWanderings.com shared a bright red recipe for horseradish and beet relish.
Susan Fishman shared a fun way to eat your Easter eggs with deviled egg baskets. These citrus glazed donuts, shared by the blog 2sense-la.com, aren’t technically associated with any holiday, but the pretty pastel-colored icing makes them more than appropriate for any number of occasions.
Janice Lawandi from the blog KitchenHealsSoul.blogspot.com shared a recipe for her mini chocolate babkas.
This next recipe has nothing to do with Easter or Passover, but we couldn’t not share it. Jenn from the blog JustJennRecipes.com posted a recipe for fried chicken cornbread muffins. Yes, there is fried chicken in the muffin. Imagine waking up to a basket of those for Easter brunch.
Please join in by tweeting your #Weekendeats at us Monday morning @latimesfood and share your photos with us in our “Weekend Eats” gallery. We’ll feature some of the photos here on Daily Dish, so be sure to check back for more #Weekendeats and #Foodporn throughout the week.
Hope to see everyone next Monday morning on Twitter! It’s sure to be a drool-worthy good time.
