Rubin Singer dresses the Band Perry for ACM Awards performance
New York-based fashion designer, Rubin Singer, who has created clothes and stage costumes for Shakira, Alicia Keys and Beyonce, who memorably wore a Singer-created-costume during her Super Bowl halftime performance, crossed over into country music territory for the first time Sunday night when the Band Perry took to the stage last night in Las Vegas to perform at the 48th Academy of Country Music Awards.

For the performance of the group’s single “Done,” Kimberly Perry wore a strapless, paneled, leather and silk faille dress paired with a sleeveless tuxedo jacket, Reid Perry sported a kid-skin leather shirt with braided leather cording detail at the shoulders, and Neil Perry was kitted out in a lambskin leather motorcycle jacket with python trim.
The designer started working with the band members on creating the looks -- which we’re told were inspired by the lyrics and message of the song they performed last night -- back in February.
The Academy of Country Music Awards took place April 7 at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
