“Tonight is about women wearing the pants,” said Alison Brie at the 75th Golden Globes on Sunday, “so I chose to literally wear the pants.”

The “GLOW” actress channeled a modern Audrey Hepburn in a strapless sweetheart ensemble by Vassilis Zoulias that comprised a full skirt nipping into a pant leg.

Her dress-pants combo look was a popular one on the red carpet, which was lined with stars in creative versions of all black in support of the Time’s Up movement.

Maggie Gyllenhaal wore a strapless sequin frock over tailored black slacks along with collarbone dusting pearl earrings. Debra Messing’s ensemble was covered up yet peek-a-boo all at the same time. Her 3-D beaded and embellished dress swept the floor but for a front cutout revealing plain black trousers.

“Lady Bird” nominee Laurie Metcalf wore simple trousers with a fitted, textured coat-dress, complete with a small train and pops of color on her feet and ears.

Presenter Christina Hendricks hit multiple trends at once with her off-the-shoulder black velvet bodice, tapered pants and belted overskirt. Her red lips tapped into another power move: red lips. The statement pout was also part of Claire Foy’s look.

“The Crown” actress, accompanied by her on-screen partner, Matt Smith, donned a classic black tuxedo with roomy wide legs by Stella McCartney, which she paired with slick hair.

Another who opted for a powerful pant silhouette without the feminine frock was Alexis Bledel, whose black-and-white Oscar de la Renta was as refined and chic as Kyra Sedgwick’s timeless shawl-collar pantsuit.
