Art meets style in a smattering of new fashion and lifestyle pieces by the likes of L.A.-based graffiti artists Thierry Guetta (a.k.a. Mr. Brainwash) and Sket One, who respectively reinvent Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses and a Martone bicycle as one-of-a-kind collectibles. Martone bikes by four local artists are being showcased at Ron Robinson in Santa Monica. Leather clothing brand Alexandrino and men’s accessories label William, both based in L.A., seasonally commission artists to hand-paint unique designs on their wares. And renowned artist Takashi Murakami has teamed up with Vans for a line of limited-edition sneakers, T-shirts and skate decks. If you lack closet space, these painterly designs double as wall art.
