Grammys 2014 red carpet: What to expect from Rihanna, Rita Ora, others
The 2014 Grammys will be telecast Sunday night on CBS starting at 8 p.m. EST/PST. But before that, all eyes will be on the red carpet to see what music’s biggest stars are wearing (or not wearing as the case may be).
You’ll remember that in advance of the 2013 Grammy awards, CBS’ standards and practices committee sent out a wardrobe advisory urging attendees to cover up, specifying that thongs and sheer panels were out. So was cleavage, puffy skin (whatever that means) and “bare flesh undercurves.”
Whether intentional or not, most stars complied, and left something to the imagination.
This year, there was no memo (or if there was, it was kept quiet). So all bets are off.
And during the swirl of pre-Grammy parties over the weekend, music’s pop divas were already bringing their fashion A-game.
At the Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch presented by MAC Viva Glam on Saturday, Rihanna and Rita Ora were in a sizzle showdown.
Rihanna wore a super-sexy Japanese-style stripe shirt and skirt slit up to there from the Altuzarra spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection.
Rita Ora wore a gold-embellished white shirt dress so short it barely cleared her bum, and a matching jacket worn over her shoulders. The look was fresh off Alexandre Vauthier’s spring couture runway. Fresh off, as in shown in Paris on Tuesday.
Can’t wait to see what these women and more wear Sunday night.
