‘Sleepy Hollow’ ratings: Does Fox have a headless hit?
“Sleepy Hollow” galloped away with ratings that might have scared rivals half to death Monday.
Fox’s horror fantasy -- an adaptation of Washington Irving’s story about Ichabod Crane and the infamous headless horseman -- premiered with 10 million total viewers, according to Nielsen.
That was No. 2 during the 9 p.m. hour behind the season premiere of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” (16.8 million). But “Sleepy Hollow” tied the dance contest in the key demographic of adults aged 18 to 49 (3.4 rating/9 share), proving that the franchise has allure for young people.
