‘Rocky Horror’ TV remake casts Nickelodeon alum Victoria Justice as Janet; who’s Brad?
Fox’s “Rocky Horror Picture Show” TV remake has found its sweethearts in the form of Nickelodeon and Disney Channel alums.
Victoria Justice, recording artist and actress best known for her Nickelodeon sitcom “Victorious,” has been cast as Janet Weiss, with Ryan McCartan of Disney Channel’s “Liv and Maddie” playing partner Brad Majors. Justice also stars in the new Fox comedy “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life.”

The pair join Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black” star Laverne Cox, who was previously cast as Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
Both Justice and Cox shared their excitement on Twitter with their fans:
Also announced today was the casting of Reeve Carney -- originator of the Peter Parker/Spider-Man role in the Broadway musical “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” -- as Riff Raff, a loyal servant of the doctor. And Staz Nair has been cast as Rocky Horror, Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s prized creation.
The revival is executive produced by Lou Adler, executive producer of the 1975 film version of “Rocky Horror”; Gail Berman (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Alphas”); and Kenny Ortega (“High School Musical,” “Newsies”). Ortega will also direct and choreograph.
The two-hour event is set to air on Fox in Fall 2016.
