NBC comedy trailers: ‘Michael J. Fox,’ ‘Welcome to the Family,’ ‘Sean’
NBC is relying on the star power of veteran sitcom performers with its 2013-14 lineup, announced Sunday in New York City.
With “30 Rock” and “The Office” no longer on the schedule, the ailing network has added two new comedies, one starring Sean Hayes of “Will & Grace” and another with “Family Ties” star Michael J. Fox.
The former, “Sean Saves the World,” stars Hayes as a gay, divorced dad, and the latter features Fox as a newsman trying to get his career up and running again after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (which Fox has in real life).
The two new comedies are part of a broad NBC initiative to rebuild its Thursday night comedy block. The shows will air in addition to the returning “Parks and Recreation,” and “Parenthood,” now in its fifth season.
The new lineup is very family-friendly, wrote NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt in a statement. In an unusual move Greenblatt did not hold a conference call with reporters to discuss the new lineup.
Without further ado, here are NBC’s new comedy trailers. Enjoy!
