Keith Olbermann set to return with his ESPN2 show Monday night
Keith Olbermann has been without a regular show for a little over a year and a half, but Monday night, he’s back with “Olbermann,” set to debut on ESPN2 at 11 p.m. Eastern.
But those political junkies who got hooked on the outspoken broadcaster’s “Special Comment” rants may have to look elsewhere for their outrage. Olbermann has said he won’t be doing much political talk in the new show, which will have a focus on sports. He will, however, have license to discuss pop culture and current events.
As Olbermann told the New York Times, “If you cover politics for eight years without interruption like I did, you need a change.”

Two segments from Olbermann’s MSNBC days will be making a comeback, however. The “Worst Person In the World” bit will return as “Worst Person in the Sports World,” and a modified version of the “Oddball” segment of strange, but true, news stories called “Time Marches On.”
On Sunday, Olbermann shared a shot of the set from his new show, dubbed “The Spaceship.” The show shares studio space with “Nightline” in the ESPN/ABC studios in New York City.
In addition to the new show on ESPN2, Olbermann will also host a postseason baseball show on TBS this fall.
