Justin Timberlake, Michelle Obama among Jimmy Fallon’s first guests
There’s still a week until Jimmy Fallon’s version of “The Tonight Show” debuts, but NBC has already announced the program’s first week of guests, which is to include First Lady Michelle Obama and the new host’s BFF, Justin Timberlake.
The guests for the show’s Feb. 17 launch are to Will Smith and U2.
But fans are expected to be tuning in Friday, Feb. 21 to check out Timberlake, who appeared on Fallon’s “Late Night” 12 times over five years and was the musical guest when Fallon hosted “Saturday Night Live” in December. In turn, Fallon honored Timberlake when he received the Video Vanguard award at the MTV VMAs in August, and even attended Timberlake’s 2012 wedding to Jessica Biel.
Obama is also a friend of the Fallon show, having filmed a short sketch with him to promote her Let’s Move fitness challenge in 2012.

Other scheduled first-week guests include Jerry Seinfeld, Kristen Wiig, Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, Tim McGraw, Will Ferrell and Arcade Fire.
This will be the first time since 1972 that “The Tonight Show” has been hosted from New York City. It moved to Burbank 10 years into Johnny Carson’s tenure on the show.
Fallon signed off from “Late Night” on Feb. 7 with a performance of “The Weight” with the Muppets, after which he left the studio and walked across the hall to the new studio from where “The Tonight Show” will be broadcast.
Fallon’s replacement, Seth Meyers, is to debut on “Late Night” on Feb. 24.
