Fallon and Timberlake present ‘The Evolution of End Zone Dancing’
Justin and Jimmy are at it again.
The team that brought “Late Night” viewers such gems as “The History of Rap” and a Ragtime version of “Sexy Back” delivered another must-see clip Tuesday night with “The Evolution of End Zone Dancing.”
In the montage, timed to celebrate the kickoff of the new NFL season, Fallon and Timberlake demonstrate such football-inspired moves as “Manti Te’O on a Date” and the “Ickey Shuffle” along with some more random ones (“Old Time-y Railroad Car,” “Worm on a Leash”).

It’s the latest in a series of bits, inspired by the YouTube classic “Evolution of Dance,” which began with Michelle Obama’s playful turn in “Evolution of Mom Dancing” earlier this year and continued, naturally, with “Evolution of Dad Dancing.” (Hmm ... what could be next?)
Musically inspired sketches like this one have become a “Late Night” signature. Let’s hope Fallon doesn’t hang up the dancing shoes once he moves to “Tonight.”
