Watch Jerry Springer get stretchered out during ‘Monday Night Raw’

Poor Jerry Springer. He has moderated seemingly millions of catfights during his long-running “Jerry Springer Show” with nary a scratch. One appearance on WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” with the Bella Twins and Stephanie McMahon, and he gets taken out on a stretcher.

Springer, the former mayor of Cincinnati, appeared on WWE’s flagship show to moderate a discussion between Brie and Nikki Bella, who are in the midst of a feud. Springer tried to get to the heart of the discussion in typical Springer fashion: by showing tapes of their mother and father pleading with them to become a family again, and by bringing out their brother, who blamed Nikki for the whole thing.

Hearing her brother blame her was too much for Nikki, who went to attack Brie before Springer stepped between them. However, he got pulled down as the women lunged at each other and was caught in the middle while they were throwing punches and pulling hair. To make matters worse, McMahon fell on Springer while trying to break up the fight.

When calmer heads prevailed, Springer remained on the mat, clutching his side. A stretcher was quickly brought to ringside and Springer was taken away. He gave a thumbs up to the crowd, so we all know he will live to moderate another day.
