Amy Schumer tells Stephen Colbert how she ate Jake Gyllenhaal’s cake
Here’s a little piece of advice: Think twice before subletting your apartment to Amy Schumer.
The star of “Trainwreck” capped Stephen Colbert’s first week as host of CBS’ “The Late Show” with a story about how she and her sister rented out a flat that belonged to actor Jake Gyllenhaal and one of his girlfriends.
“I went through all of Jake’s stuff,” the 34-year-old star of “Inside Amy Schumer” confessed to Colbert. “Of course I did.

“He left a frozen cake in his freezer,” she added. “It was very old. ... I would get drunk, and I would eat it.”
Schumer then showed homemade video, apparently shot by her sister, of her supposedly feasting on the cake, which she declared “so good.”
Pointing to bakery frosting that read “U R a Princess,” Schumer, her mouth full, enthused: “Yes, I am!”
Schumer explained to Colbert that she is still in the rental market because “you know, I’m not rich yet.”
Colbert later noted Schumer’s success, saying: “You’re a role model for half the women on the planet.”
As some modest clapping was heard in the studio audience, Schumer broke in: “Did you hear, like, the saddest little applause?”
Schumer mimed a woman about to applaud, then thinking better of it and looking down, embarrassed.
“Wage gap. No paid pregnancy leave,” she said. “Everyone just like remembers what it’s like to be a woman.”
