Comedy Central renews ‘Inside Amy Schumer’ and ‘Broad City’
YAS, it’s true: “Broad City” and “Inside Amy Schumer” will return with new seasons.
Comedy Central made the announcement Wednesday during its session at the Television Critics Assn. media tour in Pasadena. “Inside Amy Schumer” will return for a fifth season, while “Broad City” got double the fun with a renewal for its fourth and fifth seasons.
It’s hardly a surprise that the network would want to stay in business with the in-demand Schumer and her Emmy-winning series, and she welcomed the news with her signature wit.
“We are so excited to get picked up,” she said in a statement. “I’ve gotten picked up many times, but this time feels the best.”
“Broad City,” meanwhile, is set to roll out its third season Feb. 17. The series, created by and starring lana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson as two twentysomething friends navigating New York City, will get a visit from presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.
