A woman as president? Stephen Colbert responds to Bill O’Reilly

The next U.S. presidential election isn’t until 2016, but many in the media are speculating heavily that Hillary Rodham Clinton has a real shot at the Oval Office. A woman as president? Is there a downside? That’s what Stephen Colbert and his “papa bear” Bill O’Reilly want to know.

During a recent segment on his Fox News program, “The O’Reilly Factor,” O’Reilly wondered aloud, “There’s got to be some downside to having a woman president, right?”

Crickets from his two female panelists.

But Colbert wasn’t going to sit quietly by. He had points to bring up that would have aided O’Reilly’s argument. For instance, how is she going to activate the nuclear launch button?

“Everything in the Oval Office is penis activated,” Colbert points out.

Other downsides? A woman has to sit down to pee, which would be a disadvantage in the heat of a terrorist attack.

But the worst outcome will be in the form of other geopolitical players, O’Reilly and Colbert posit. China will test her with warships, North Korea will kidnap Americans, Putin will commit nefarious acts. Why? Because we’ll have a woman president.

And don’t forget the shark attacks. There will be shark attacks in the White House because of a woman president.

In the words of O’Reilly, “Bing! Bing! Bing! Bing! Bing!”
