Kim Kardashian talks baby names, media ‘bullies’ on ‘Tonight’
Kim Kardashian is pregnant -- perhaps you’ve heard -- and though she’s not due until July, the tabloids are already having a field day with her weight gain.
On Thursday on “The Tonight Show,” Jay Leno asked the reality starlet and outspoken proponent of uncomfortable maternity fashion whether the media were being a little unfair to her.
“I think it’s a little bully-ish to call a pregnant woman fat. I mean what do you expect?” she replied. Kardashian said that she’s put on about 25 pounds but is unfazed by the weight gain.

“I’ve always been curvy. I’ve always embraced my curves,” said Kardashian, also a spokesperson for the weight-loss supplement QuickTrim. “I have the rest of my life to be skinny and to lose weight.”
She laughed off reports that she and her beloved Kanye West were planning to call their baby “North” -- get it? -- but said she’s fond of the name “Easton.” As in, “Easton West.” (Psst, Kim! We’re not sure that’s much better.)
Elsewhere in the conversation, Kardashian addressed her feud with Chelsea Handler (over), whether her unborn child will go into showbiz (not unless he or she wants to), and if she plans to broadcast her birth like her sister Kourtney (no, but she’s not ruling anything out).
And, of course, there was also a pointed reference to Jimmy Fallon’s takeover of “The Tonight Show.” When Leno asked about her future on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” the reality show that followed the sex tape that made her famous, Kardashian couldn’t resist cracking a joke.
“They asked what I would do after our contract was up, and I said that I actually put in an application for your job, because I heard yours was up too,” she said. “So I’m hoping to take over your job.”
Please, Kim, don’t give the folks at NBC any ideas.
