‘Party Down’ cast reunites in costume
With all the hoopla surrounding the much anticipated return of “Arrested Development” on Netflix, fans are now turning to another much loved and dearly departed comedy series, “Party Down.” And to fuel the fan demands for a possible reunion movie, star Adam Scott tweeted a pic of the cast reunited and in their uniforms.
Scott and costars Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, Lizzy Caplan and Ken Marino appeared together at the SF Sketchfest, a comedy festival in San Francisco, over the weekend to discuss the series about the hapless employees of a party catering service, which ran on Starz for two seasons, from 2009 to 2010.
According to the comedy website Splitsider, the cast shared many tales of working on the low-budget (and low-rated) series. But when it came to the long-rumored big-screen reunion, they all claimed ignorance. Although they were all open to the proposal, as well as a revival of the series a la “Arrested Development,” there were no concrete developments to report.
The series was co-created by “Veronica Mars” creator Rob Thomas, John Enbom, Dan Etheridge and Paul Rudd. Jane Lynch was a part of the original cast of the series, but left midway through its run when she got a starring role in the Fox series “Glee.” Megan Mullally then joined the cast.
