Hulu announces premiere dates for ‘The Mindy Project’ and newcomers ‘Chance’ and ‘Shut Eye’
Streaming service Hulu has revealed dates for its fall programming schedule, including the return of “The Mindy Project” and the new series “Chance,” starring Hugh Laurie.
“The Mindy Project” begins its fifth season on Oct. 4 with 16 new episodes, which will appear weekly. “Chance,” a thriller based on the novel by Kem Nunn, will begin its weekly, 10-episode run on Oct. 19.
Also set to premiere in October is “Freakish,” a teen post-apocalyptic drama that features Vine and Instagram star Liza Koshy. “Shut Eye,” a new drama with “Burn Notice’s” Jeffrey Donovan and Isabella Rossellini originally planned for August, will debut later in the year on Dec. 7.
As previously announced, the Ron Howard-directed Beatles documentary “Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years” will appear exclusively on Hulu on Sept. 17, the day after its premiere in theaters.
