‘American Idol’ by the numbers
With more than a dozen seasons, hundreds upon hundreds of episodes and a reality television model based almost entirely on phone numbers and populist voting, it seemed only fitting to say goodbye to Fox’s landmark television series “American Idol” by breaking down the digits.
