Amazon has revealed the title to its forthcoming Woody Allen series: “Crisis in Six Scenes.”
The reveal was made Sunday at the Television Critics Assn. press tour in Beverly Hills.
The six-episode series stars Allen, Miley Cyrus and Elaine May. And according to its synopsis, it’s set in the ’60s “during the turbulent times in the United States when a middle class suburban family is visited by a guest who turns their household completely upside down.”
It will premiere Sept. 30.
“Crisis” is part of what the streaming service has dubbed “comedy month,” according to Joe Lewis, Amazon’s head of half-hour programming.
The Tig Notaro comedy “One Mississippi” will kick things off on Sept. 9, followed by “Fleabag” from Phoebe Waller-Bridge on Sept. 16, and “Transparent” returns with its third season on Sept. 23.
