Here’s who the major networks are sending to Orlando for mass-shooting coverage

Network TV news operations are sending their lead anchors to Orlando, Fla., for live, on-the-scene coverage of the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

All three broadcast evening news anchors — Scott Pelley for CBS, Lester Holt for NBC and David Muir for ABC — will report Sunday night from Orlando, where at least 50 people died and an additional 53 were injured by a man who opened fire in the LGBT nightclub Pulse early Sunday morning. The gunman, identified by authorities as Omar Mateen, later died in a shootout with police.

Matt Lauer will head to Orlando for Monday’s edition of NBC’s “Today.” Charlie Rose and Gayle King will be on-site for “CBS This Morning.” Amy Robach will represent for ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

ABC News will provide prime-time coverage in a special edition Sunday of “20/20” at 10 p.m. ET and PT. “Dateline NBC” will have a report at 7 p.m. ET and PT Sunday.

CNN will have “New Day” anchors Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota reporting live from Orlando on Monday morning. Anderson Cooper, Erin Burnett, Carol Costello, John Berman and Don Lemon will anchor their Monday programs on location as well.

On Fox News, prime-time anchors Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly will helm special Sunday editions of their prime-time shows from New York starting at 5 p.m. PT. Geraldo Rivera will follow with a live hour from Orlando.

Fox News is sending Kelly, Bill Hemmer and Greta Van Susteren to the site, where they will anchor their programs on Monday.

Brian Williams is handling MSNBC’s coverage, which uses the resources of NBC News, throughout Sunday evening from the cable channel’s studio in New York. Chris Jansing, Jose Diaz- Balart, Kate Snow, Craig Melvin and Thomas Roberts will anchor MSNBC’s dayside coverage live from Orlando on Monday.
