Listen to Robert Glasper’s ‘Calls’ featuring Jill Scott
Last week, we brought you news that Robert Glasper, the wide-ranging jazz pianist, would release a new album by his band the Robert Glasper Experiment on Oct. 29.
Now you can hear the album’s lead single, “Calls,” below.
A luscious neo-soul cut with vocals by R&B singer Jill Scott, the track comes from Glasper’s sequel to last year’s “Black Radio,” which won the Grammy Award for R&B album.
In addition to Scott, “Black Radio 2” is to feature guest spots by singers and rappers including Anthony Hamilton, Snoop Dogg, Common and Faith Evans, as well as Patrick Stump of the emo-rock band Fall Out Boy. (That one should be interesting.)
