Ke$ha to release 'acoustic' EP on Dec. 4

Just last week, Ke$ha premiered the video for her new single, “Die Young,” in which the adventurously attired electro-pop star appears to form a cult devoted to black-leather vests and bearskin rugs.

But the pre-release publicity beast is one that must continually be fed, so Wednesday morning brought news that next month, Ke$ha would accompany her upcoming sophomore disc, “Warrior,” with a so-called acoustic EP called “Deconstructed.” Both are due Dec. 4, the latter exclusively through the singer’s website.

Along with a stripped-down version of “Die Young” and another “Warrior” selection, the five-track set is to include new renditions of “Blow” and “The Harold Song,” both from Ke$ha’s 2010 “Cannibal” EP, as well as a cover of “Old Flames Can’t Hold a Candle to You.” Dolly Parton had a No. 1 country hit in 1980 with the last tune, which was cowritten by Ke$ha’s mom, Pebe Sebert.
