A limited number of single day tickets for downtown’s indie-focused FYF Fest will be placed on sale Saturday at 11 a.m. at the venue site. Day passes, according to Goldenvoice, will be sold for $60, cash only. Weekend passes will continue to be sold on site for those interested in both days of the FYF Fest, and they will sell for $100 at the door, also cash only.

As reported in Friday’s Calendar, this year’s event, featuring adventurous rock and electronic acts such as Refused, M83, Purity Ring and Warpaint, marks the second time the fest has been a partnership between FYF and Goldenvoice. FYF Fest will be held at Los Angeles State Historic Park, a 32-acre Chinatown-adjacent park at 1245 N. Spring St.

Punk act Refused and dream pop band M83 top the bill on Saturday; worldly folk band Beirut and electronic-rock act the Faint headline Sunday. A host of adventurous offerings from the rock, dance and punk worlds dot the rest of the two-day lineup, including a rare Saturday performance from Spanish electronic act the Suicide of Western Culture and an appearance from East Coast hardcore band Converge on Sunday.

In an interview on Monday, FYF Fest founder Sean Carlson stated that single day tickets would only be sold day-of and cost $45. Friday morning, Carlson contacted to The Times to refute that single-day tickets would be available on site. Event promter Goldenvoice, also responsible for the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, later clarified that a small number of single day tickets would be sold each day for $60.

The on-site costs of $60 and $100 are as-is, meaning there are no additional service fees added onto the price. Purchasing a two-day FYF Fest pass online today, for instance, carries a cost of $96.36, once the additional fees are tacked on to the $89 price.
