Drake may be seeking forgiveness with his new music video, but he’s likely not apologizing for “Views” returning to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s albums chart.

On Monday the rapper released “Please Forgive Me,” a 23-minute video that’s part action, part thriller and all Drake exclusively on Apple Music.

Filmed in South Africa, the short follows Drake’s character as he allows his girlfriend to engage in an “Indecent Proposal” type arrangement only to have things devolve in explosive fashion.

“Please Forgive Me” serves as a companion piece to “Views,” Drake’s album released on April 29. “Views” returned to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard albums chart for its 13th nonconsecutive week, despite only managing the equivalent of 53,000 sales for the week.

“Views” last held the No. 1 spot on the chart in late July. The album regained the top position despite new releases from rapper Mac Miller, whose “The Divine Feminine” debuted at no. 2, Aaron Lewis, whose “Sinner” finished at No. 4, and R&B star Usher, whose “Hard II Love” landed at No. 5.

The soundtrack for “Suicide Squad” held on to the No. 3 position on the chart.

Drake is currently performing with his “Summer Sixteen Tour,” which returns to Southern California on Tuesday with the first of three concerts at the Forum in Inglewood.
