Lionsgate cancels press interviews on ‘Hunger Games’ L.A. premiere red carpet after Paris attacks
Citing the attacks in Paris, Lionsgate has announced the suspension of interviews by press on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 2” set to take place Monday afternoon at L.A. Live.
“Out of respect for the very recent events in Paris, we have decided to modify our red carpet and we will not conduct interviews at Monday’s ‘Mockingjay 2’ premiere,” the studio said in a statement. “We will proceed with the rest of the event as planned in honor of the incredible fans who have always supported our films with such passion.”

Portions of the final installment of the “Hunger Games” series, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, were filmed in Paris, as well as Berlin and Atlanta.

For the record: An earlier version of this post said that Lionsgate was canceling the Mockingjay red carpet event. The red carpet event is still taking place, but the presence of some press has been canceled.

No word has been given on how the events will affect the red carpet for the New York premiere of the film scheduled for Wednesday, ahead of its nationwide release on Friday.
