Alan Cumming to host DGA Honors; Leonardo DiCaprio and Alec Baldwin to present
Alan Cumming will serve as master of ceremonies at this year’s Directors Guild of America Honors to be held at the DGA Theater in New York on Oct. 15.
The evening will honor filmmaker Ron Howard, multi-hyphenate Tyler Perry, renowned editor Thelma Schoonmaker, Theatrical Teamsters Local 817 President Thomas J. O’Donnell and Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).
Three presenters have been confirmed for the evening: Actress Bryce Dallas Howard will present to her father, Ron.
Leonardo DiCaprio will be paired with Schoonmaker, both of whom have worked with director Martin Scorsese on numerous occasions. (Schoonmaker has collaborated with Scorsese for more than 40 years, winning Oscars for “Raging Bull,” “The Aviator” and “The Departed.”)
Alec Baldwin will present to O’Donnell, who is being recognized for his labor rights efforts and his contributions to production in New York.
