Justin Bieber accused of spitting on neighbor during altercation
As Justin Bieber looks forward at a string of concert dates in Germany and elsewhere in Europe starting Thursday night, he’d better have his eyes in the rear-view mirror as well: The Sheriff’s Department back home is investigating him for an assault that allegedly happened Tuesday morning in his home neighborhood.
“The neighbor has complained Mr. Bieber spit on him and made some threats,” Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore told L.A. Now on Wednesday. “Mr. Bieber’s people say that it did not happen. Obviously, our detectives will determine what happened and take appropriate action.”
The Biebs had taken a break from the European leg of his “Believe” tour this week and zoomed home for a quick pit stop. When he hit home, he reportedly took delivery of a new Ferrari on Monday night, according to TMZ, which spoke with multiple residents in the singer’s exclusive gated Calabasas community. Then someone allegedly did some zooming around the neighborhood Tuesday morning, hitting speeds estimated at 100 mph on residential streets.
A neighbor went over onto Bieber’s property to complain about the ruckus, and an intense screaming match ensued, according to TMZ sources.
Maybe the 19-year-old was just jet-lagged?
“He’s a punk. He thinks he’s invincible ...,” said the wife of the man who’s accusing the singer of the bad behavior, speaking to KTLA. “It was a very unpleasant and upsetting situation. We are a close-knit, family-oriented community and we will not tolerate this king of craziness.”
Whitmore said the Sheriff’s Department was also aware of the allegations of high-speed driving, and was looking into it. Bieber has made no mention of the incident, or even of coming home, on his Twitter feed.
