Pink stops concert to comfort a crying girl with a toy, a treat
Pink stopped her concert mid-song Sunday in her hometown, Philadelphia, to check in on a little girl who was crying in the audience.
Rock star as mama bear — who knew?
It was midway through an acoustic version of just that tune, “Who Knew,” when Pink’s attention went to the girl in the crowd.
“OK, hold on,” she said to her guitarist, “one second. Is everything OK right here? Is this little girl all right? ... Why is she crying? Why is she upset?”
Turns out two people had been fighting.
“You all are fighting around a little girl?” she asked, sparking a round of boos from the audience (“All right, that’s cool. I know. Everyone’s about to fight. I know, I’m from here.”)
The mother of nearly 2-year-old Willow Sage Hart sprang into action, grabbing a toy and a snack off the stage and employing her best mommy voice as she walked toward the girl.
“Honey, do you want this frog? Will this frog and this Rice Krispies Treat make you feel better? C’monnn. C’mon, you know you want a Rice Krispies Treat.”

With some help from folks in the audience, the goodies made their way to the girl in need, Pink told her she should cry when she’s older, and the concert could go on — except for one thing.
“Everything OK now?” the rocker said to those who’d been fighting. “Cut it out. You all are grown-ass women. Go get a pizza, have a beer, sit down somewhere.”
Enough!
Pink’s Truth About Love Tour, which hit St. Paul, Minn., on Tuesday, stops next at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday.
