Amanda Bynes’ new look: makeover or makeunder?
Amanda Bynes’ latest selfie is raising eyebrows everywhere, including her own.
The “Easy A” actress posted a photo of herself winking into a M.A.C. compact mirror and sporting a very un-Viva Glam look: a red scripted beanie, Beyonce-like hair extensions, a camo shirt and white scarf. But that wasn’t all. Bynes also debuted her cheek piercing, another addition to her heavily made-up face.
Is this a makeover, a makeunder or just a hot mess?
Her caption did little to shed light on the new ‘do and ‘tude since all she tweeted Monday along with the pic was “Wink ;)” About a month ago, Bynes posted a selfie in a similar red beanie and weave get-up along with other photos of herself in a blond wig. She also tweeted another portrait this past weekend sporting the same lacquered-up face, but this time she was wearing a military-style cap and some ghetto-fabulous bling.

But we suppose that’s what all retired multi-millionaires do.
The once-fresh-faced Nickelodeon star, 26, unleashed myriad tweets about love and romance after posting the Twitpic and further fueled reports she had become unstable — reports she has firmly denied. Bynes is almost unrecognizable in the pics and is looking less than “all that,” unless all that includes wearing everything in your closet and cosmetics bag simultaneously.
The child star narrowly avoided jail time last December when she escaped prosecution in two criminal cases involving alleged hit-and-runs after paying civil settlements to the drivers she was accused of hitting.
Bynes has also been accused in separate cases of driving without a license (that was in September) and driving under the influence (stemming from an April 6 incident when she allegedly struck an L.A. County sheriff’s cruiser with her BMW), according to L.A. Now.
Lest we forget, the “What I Like About You” star recently went after In Touch magazine for calling her “troubled,” firing back with a threat to sue after a story of her parading naked around a New York tanning was published.
“I’m suing In Touch for printing a fake story,” she told Us Weekly in November. “I’m not ‘troubled.’ I don’t get naked in public. I’m 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy.”
Oooh, chiiiild.
