Porn star Ron Jeremy reportedly in ICU with aneurysm near heart

Ron Jeremy, one of the most famous names in porn, is reportedly in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after developing an aneurysm near his heart.

“Please keep Ron in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery ... #PrayForRon #Rontourage,” his management team said via Twitter on Wednesday.

The 59-year-old adult-film star suffered severe chest pains Tuesday afternoon, TMZ first reported, and drove himself to the hospital, where the aneurysm was discovered.

His condition worsened and he was moved to the intensive-care unit, where he was being prepped for emergency surgery.

“This has been a very difficult morning,” his manager, Mike Esterman, told E! News.

[Updated, 3 p.m. Jan. 30: Esterman contacted the Ministry on Wednesday afternoon with an update from the doctors, who said Jeremy’s second surgery “went smoothly” and that the actor “is now resting with complete privacy and no visitors.”

“Everyone on Ron’s team has expressed well wishes and a speedy recovery,” Esterman said.]

Jeremy has done more than 2,000 adult films, and though he’s done some mainstream work in recent years, he told AskMen last year, “As long as the penis works, I’ll do porn — ‘cause it’s fun, it pays and I still like it.”

A query to Jeremy’s manager was not immediately returned.
