Kris Jenner, Kardashian matriarch, getting her own talk show
Kris Jenner is getting her own talk show. Yes, earthlings, the Kardash-alypse has officially begun.
“This is something I have wanted to do all my life so it’s definitely a dream come true!” Jenner, the Kardashian matriarch and “momager,” said in a statement.
“Kris” will be a one-hour entertainment talk show on select Fox-owned stations that promises to provide daytime viewers, per the news release, with “a daily jolt of celebrity guests, fashion & beauty trends; plus a mix of lifestyle topics — all through the distinctive and unpredictable perspective of Kris Jenner.” The L.A.-taped gab fest is scheduled to launch its preview this summer in markets that include Los Angeles and New York.

The Ministry has never missed Oprah more.
“We go into this believing that if it works, the Kris Jenner program could really complement what we’ve got going with Wendy [Williams], Bethenny [Frankel], etc.” said Frank Cicha, senior vice president of programming for Fox Television Stations.
“The latest adventures, successes and disappointments surrounding the extensive Kardashian and Jenner family fill entertainment magazines and create daily online headlines,” said Stephen Brown, executive vice president of development and programming for 20th Television.
Well, we owe this all to the catalyzing power of the infamous Kim Kardashian sex tape and all that it has spawned.
“At the center of this fascinating empire is Kris Jenner — a dedicated mom and a successful business woman. Whether offering real advice to her family or sharing personal moments with viewers, Kris is honest, compelling, entertaining, and unscripted — all excellent qualities for a daytime talk show host,” he added.
Tell that to her daughters who are busy spraying each other with breast milk and giving one another at-home bikini waxes. We envision that these will be likely topics of discussion and sincerely hope that Kanye West is a guest star. With Taylor Swift.
Jenner, who married gold medalist Bruce Jenner after divorcing O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian, hasn’t shied from the spotlight. She guest hosted CBS’ “The Talk” and filled in for Kathie Lee Gifford as co-host of her “Today” hour with Hoda Kotb. Jenner also somehow managed to eclipse the show’s 9/11 moment of silence last year.
If that isn’t a juggernaut, we don’t know what is.
