Jada Pinkett Smith takes another run at open-marriage rumors
Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of Will Smith, is addressing those open-marriage rumors again — less than two weeks after chatting about it on HuffPost Live.
Now, the Ministry heard a “no” the first time around when Pinkett Smith was asked flat-out, “Is it true?” but we appear to have been in the minority. So much so that Jada took to Facebook over the weekend to try to explain herself, framing her comments as a discussion of trust and love. Or, as she put it, TRUST and LOVE.
Can you hear her now?

While first acknowledging “there are far more important things to talk about in regards to what is happening in the world than whether I have an open marriage or not” -- and this was before the Boston Marathon bombings -- she proceeded to discuss “the relationship between trust and love and how they co-exist.”
Then she was off to the races.
“Do we believe loving someone means owning them?” she wrote. “Do we believe that ownership is the reason someone should ‘behave’? Do we believe that all the expectations, conditions, and underlying threats of ‘you better act right or else’ keep one honest and true? Do we believe that we can have meaningful relationships with people who have not defined nor live by the integrity of his or her higher self? What of unconditional love? Or does love look like, feel like, and operate as enslavement? Do we believe that the more control we put on someone the safer we are? What of TRUST and LOVE?”

Enough! Enough! So many questions! Our brain hurts!
But after floating a couple more queries, Jada brought it home with an answer, referring to the early April statement that she’d “always told Will, you can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be OK.”
“Here is how I will change my statement...,” she wrote Sunday. “Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other to do so. This does NOT mean we have an open relationship ... this means we have a GROWN one.”
So, does that clear things up, friends and fans?
