‘Octomom’ Nadya Suleman reportedly in rehab for Xanax dependency
Got 14 kids and a fledgling adult-entertainment career? The only thing missing might be rehab — but not anymore for “Octomom” Nadya Suleman, who reportedly checked into a treatment facility over the weekend.
Suleman, who moved her brood from La Habra to a Palmdale rental home in September, is getting help to get off doctor-prescribed Xanax and “learn to deal with her stress, exhaustion and anxiety” with professional help, her rep told TMZ.
Xanax, a.k.a. alprazolam, is an anti-anxiety medicine (something we imagine we’d need, too, if one of the ways we were making money was charging strangers $10 a minute to talk to us on the phone).
Suleman’s kids — the four singletons, the twins and the infamous octuplets — are being cared for by three nannies and two friends while Octo’s away, TMZ said.
One nanny told the website Tuesday that although Suleman has been calling a couple of times a day with instructions, it’s much easier to take care of the kidlets without their mom ordering everybody around.
