Save the date, Beyonce fans: The documentary she’s directed and produced will have its world premiere next year in your living room.

If you have HBO, that is -- the cable network will unveil the superstar’s film on Feb. 16, just days after she rocks the Super Bowl halftime show.

“Everybody knows Beyonce’s music, but few know Beyonce the person,” HBO head of programming Michael Lombardo said in a statement.

“Along with electrifying footage of Beyonce onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman.”

Beyonce chimed in, saying, “some of my favorite shows are on HBO, so I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home.”

The Times exclusively reported that Beyonce was shopping for a distributor in August, and that the content of the project would be a “mix of music and personal study, blending concert footage with confessional interview.”

The documentary serves as an interesting dovetail for Mrs. Jay-Z -- she was slated for years to play Clint Eastwood’s leading lady in “A Star Is Born.”

After her pregnancy and subsequent superstar baby Blue Ivy Carter sidelined the production and a world tour for her last album, “4,” Beyonce was in need of a project for the movie marketplace. She also promised two new musical efforts, one presumably being a brand new album.

The HBO effort would seem to check both boxes. Are you excited for Beyonce’s documentary debut? Tell us in comments.
