Kristie Alley’s new book is called “The Art of Men,” and the way she’s been talking lately, Ms. Alley seems to have been quite the artist.

Alley, currently competing for a second time on “Dancing With the Stars” with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, has revealed her love for two stars who caught the eye of many a woman of a certain age back in the day: the late Patrick Swayze and John Travolta.

She says she didn’t have a sexual affair with Swayze, as both she and he were married to other people at the time of the crush and she didn’t want to break up his marriage. But it’s Travolta, apparently, who has a special place in her heart.

After telling Barbara Walters in an upcoming “20/20” interview, “John is the greatest love of my life,” the actress clarified herself Wednesday on Twitter, including a reference to Travolta’s wife, Kelly Preston.

“Travolta is [the] love of my life because of our evolution. From the actor I wanted to run off with to being J & Kelly’s childrens’ Godmother,” she said.

Alley and Travolta did three films together, the “Look Who’s Talking” series, in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.

In the same interview, with Barbara being Barbara, she had to ask Kirstie about rumors surrounding Travolta’s sexuality.

“I know John with all my heart and soul,” Alley said. “He’s not gay.”

She did, however, have a theory as to how the rumors have come about.

“I think in some weird way, in Hollywood, if someone gets big enough and famous enough and thery’re not out doing drugs and they’re not womanizing, what do you say about them?” she said. “I think that people think that’s the supreme insult, ‘He’s gay.’”
