Kat Von D engaged to Deadmau5 the new-fangled way: via Twitter
Kat Von D is engaged to Deadmau5, and the two did it the new-fashioned way: on Twitter.
“I can’t wait for Christmas so.... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me? @thekatvond” electronic-music producer and DJ Deadmau5 — real name Joel Zimmerman — tweeted on Saturday, including a picture of a ring, seen above.
Apparently the answer was yes, as the 30-year-old tattoo artist and reality TV personality followed up with a multitude of exclamation points, then this:
“Mi corazon!!! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiancé!”
Deadmau5, 31, got a bit unprintable expressing his excitement over being “engaged and stuff!,” but then said, “thanks for the well wishes and support from the horde and everyone else! brb while i spend the rest of my evening with my future wife :)”
The couple split up in early November after dating for a couple of months, with Kat tweeting, among other things, “Man, I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no-brainer to break that off. #lessonlearned. Now, we can get all of the ‘I told you so’s’ outta the way ... And move on.”
He said at the time, “it happened too fast, i lost my balance and fell into a familiar dark place that im having difficulty with. she deserves someone stronger.”
Guess he got his balance back?
Kat, meanwhile, was most recently in the news for beginning the process of blasting a tattoo of a young Jesse James — her previous fiance — off her ribcage.
