Duchess Kate all smiles as she heads home from hospital stay

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge exit King Edward VII hospital in London on Thursday, following Duchess Kate's treatment for hyperemesis gravidarum, a form of severe morning sickness.

With the help of bright yellow flowers and a brighter smile, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was discharged from London’s King Edward VII hospital on Thursday.

Following treatment for hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute form of morning sickness, the former Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William exited the facility looking cheerful for camped-out members of the media.

The duchess is expected to return to her North Wales home in keeping with her normal routine, but will forgo her end-of-year royal duties, including two weekend functions William will now attend solo, according to BBC News.

Though she simply nodded at the press corps when asked how she was feeling, Kate isn’t out of the woods. The condition could continue well into her pregnancy and beyond, in some cases.

Experts say HG can occur when the mom is carrying multiples. Can you imagine royal twins? One man who might well be glad to: Charles, Prince of Wales.

“It’s a very nice thought to become a grandfather in my old age,” Charles told reporters in London, touring a ship that will accompany a British crew on a Arctic expedition.

During treatment Kate was visited by Will (obviously), as well as her siblings Pippa and James Middleton. And those who couldn’t visit can still check out “William and Kate: A Royal Baby Story,” airing at 8 p.m. Dec. 16 on TLC.
