French actress Catherine Deneuve made a name for herself in her youth by playing glamorous, aloof 1960s Mod blonds. Since then, she can count more than 100 films on her resume, including more recent works like 2000’s “Dancer in the Dark,” the musical drama that led to Bjork’s famous red carpet swan outfit, and the fun 2002 murder mystery comedy “8 Women.” And, of course, the new film “Potiche” (or “Trophy Wife” for English audiences), in which she plays the bored wife of an umbrella factory owner who finds a new sense of purpose when her husband falls sick and she must take over the business.
