‘The Flash’ and ‘Supergirl’ crossover is officially happening
Make way for Barry Allen, National City. That “The Flash”-”Supergirl” crossover is really happening.
Grant Gustin will appear as the Scarlet Speedster in the March 28 episode of “Supergirl,” CBS announced Wednesday.
“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making ‘Supergirl’ — the Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!” said Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, executive producers for both “Supergirl” and “The Flash,” in a press release.

While no additional details regarding the episode have been revealed, fans of both shows of the “Berlanti-verse” (the DC Comics-based TV universe inhabited by the characters of Berlanti’s “Green Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl” and most recently “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”) have been aniticipating a crossover since CBS President Glenn Geller teased the possibility during the recent Television Critics Assn. press tour.
No news on whether Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will ever meet face to face with Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist), but now that a crossover between CW’s “The Flash” and CBS’ “Supergirl” is setting the precedent, perhaps the two heroes will also cross paths sooner rather than later.
