The force is with football fans.

Lucasfilm announced on Sunday that the trailer for the highly anticipated “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will debut on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” during halftime of the game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia. Tickets for the movie will go on sale after the trailer launch tomorrow night.

With the announcement came a new “Star Wars” poster absolutely loaded with new plot clues and character details. First, there appears to be another look at the character Teedo who was revealed a few days ago in a “Star Wars” still. And according to the official “Star Wars” site, Teedo, “is a small, brutish scavenger that roams Jakku’s vast wasteland on his semi-mechanical Luggabeast.”

Also in the poster, actor John Boyega wields a lightsaber, yet again, possibly confirming that his character, Finn, could be force sensitive. And behind him a large and very Death Star 2.0-looking apparatus. What could that possibly be? People are speculating on Twitter that it might be a space station.

Notably absent from the poster is Mark Hamill, although he is confirmed as a cast member. However we do see Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher (with a new Princess Leia hairstyle) reprising their roles as Han Solo and Leia, front and center.

The J.J. Abrams-directed film, which hits theaters Dec. 18, takes place 30 years after the events of “Return of the Jedi.” It’s a new beginning for the franchise, created by George Lucas, who sold his Lucasfilm empire to Disney in 2012 for about $4 billion.

Fandango, the nation’s largest movie ticket company, reported last year that the upcoming franchise blockbuster was selected as the most anticipated movie of 2015 by more than 1,000 people surveyed.
