Bryan Singer wants to let the world know that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be a big deal.

On his super-active Instagram site, the director recently posted a picture of himself in front of what looks to be a huge statue of Anubis with blue accents -- possibly some alien Egyptian mix that aligns with the origins of the main villain in the film, Oscar Isaacs' Apocalypse.

With a number of hashtags -- #raidersofthelostark and #notallgreenscreen -- Singer has tried to assure his aniticipatory audience that the film won't be a hollow CGI project. There has been strong reaction to the crop of mutants introduced and to the appearance of Apocalypse himself, so the audience will, of course, be the ultimate judge.

Singer keeps the images coming from on the set of the X-Men project. One shows a boom mike operator blending into the scene and, counter to Singer's earlier hashtag, could've gotten #allgreenscreen.

Singer also shared a photo of himself walking through the rubble of a destroyed Cairo.

If this is a result of the war that Apocalypse hopes to rage, it looks like it will be a destructive confrontation. "X-Men: Apocalypse" is currently filming in Montreal and is scheduled to hit theaters May 27, 2016.
