Wonder Woman joins ‘Supergirl’ cast as the president of the United States
The original onscreen Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, is about to show “Supergirl” how it’s done.
Carter, who brought the female superhero to life in the late ‘70s on ABC’s “Wonder Woman,” will play the U.S. president on the CW show starring Melissa Benoist, the network announced Tuesday.
Carter, 64, is locked for multiple episodes and will first appear in Episode 203, the network said.
Wonder Woman, the character, turns 75 this year – and Issue No. 7 of the comic was proudly titled “Wonder Woman for President.” That, ladies, was in 1943.
The second season of “Supergirl” will air at 8 p.m. PDT Mondays this fall on the CW.
