Who better than John Cleese to get you up to speed on all six seasons of ‘The Walking Dead’?
Season 7 of “The Walking Dead” will kick off Sunday, and the season premiere will finally reveal who did and didn’t survive the cliffhanger encounter with Negan and his bat, Lucille. But for fans who need a little fun — or a quick refresher — before delving back into the series, John Cleese has you covered.
The British comedian teamed up with the U.K. streaming service Now TV to provide a delightful recap of all six seasons of “The Walking Dead” full of quips as well as helpful lessons to help ease viewers back into the brutal world of trying to survive a zombie apocalypse.
Lesson one? “Zombies are not called zombies.”
Cleese introduces the cast of characters with spot-on descriptions and even bestows cute nicknames to a special few, including Michonne, whom he dubs “Slicey Magee,” and the Governor as “Patchy Pete.”

Cleese also takes pains to remind viewers repeatedly that in the world of “The Walking Dead,” there are no safe places. A lesson Rick and his gang of survivors keep forgetting pretty much every season.
You can watch Cleese’s full recap below. But beware: The video contains quite a bit of violence and gore, as you would expect from a video featuring footage of the show.
