Singer Toni Braxton’s divorce from Keri Lewis is final
Toni Braxton has officially ended her 12-year marriage.
The Grammy-winning singer’s divorce from Keri Lewis is final, her rep said in a statement Wednesday.
“The couple has had an amicable split and will still both be actively involved in raising their two sons,” the statement said.

Braxton, 45, and Lewis married in 1998 and separated in 2009. The couple share two sons: 11-year-old Denim and 10-year-old Diezel, who is autistic.
The deep-voiced, “UnBreak My Heart” crooner has won six Grammy Awards and is also a songwriter, record producer, actress and philanthropist. She stars in the WEtv reality series “Braxton Family Values” with her four sisters, Trina, Traci, Tamar and Towanda.
In an October appearance on “VH1 Behind the Music,” the singer said that her split with Lewis had reverberating effects.
“I had to figure out a plan for my life that had nothing to do with him,” she said. “I was angry with everybody. I couldn’t believe this was happening to me. I felt that I was a person dealing with a lot of struggles and here comes another one.”
Braxton has also filed twice for bankruptcy and, in 2010, said that she had been diagnosed with the autoimmune disease lupus, according to People.
In February, while promoting her Lifetime movie “Twist of Faith,” she told the Associated Press she was working on a new album with her longtime collaborator Babyface called “Love, Marriage, Divorce.”
