Teresa Giudice of ‘RHONJ’ starts 15-month prison sentence
Teresa Giudice is now a Real Housewife of Connecticut -- of the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Conn., to be exact.
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star started her 15-month prison sentence Monday, according to the Associated Press. Giudice entered a guilty plea in March on federal fraud and conspiracy charges and was sentenced in October.
“[S]he was anxious to get in and get this entire nightmare behind her so that she can return home to her family,” her attorney James Leonard told the AP via email Monday.
Giudice showed up at 3 a.m. to start her stretch, TMZ said. The prison is about 90 minutes north of New York City.

FOR THE RECORD
10:28 a.m.: An earlier headline on this story said Teresa Giudice was on “RHONY”; she appeared on the “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
-----------
The reality-TV diva will be wearing “elastic-waist khakis and a poly-blend button-down shirt” for the duration of her stay, People reported. No dinner parties, no need to dress up?
The minimum-security facility houses only about 200 inmates, according to NJ.com.
Joe Giudice, Teresa’s husband, will start his 41-month sentence on similar charges when she finishes hers. A judge made the accommodation so the couple’s four daughters could have a parent at home to care for them.
After she was sentenced, Teresa Giudice noted to Bravo’s Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” that in the future, when it came to taxes, contracts, bankruptcy and the like, she would “have to make sure I fully understand something or fully read it or find a lawyer ... that could help me.”
