Soleil Moon Frye, on ‘The View,’ announces she’s having a baby boy

Soleil Moon Frye is having a baby boy, news that she shared with the ladies of “The View” and the gab fest’s viewership on Wednesday.

The “Punky Brewster” star, who is already mother to two girls, Jagger Joseph Blue, 5½, and Poet Sienna Rose, 8, is 5½ months along. She and husband Jason Goldberg are expecting their little mister in mid-February.

Frye announced she was pregnant on the “Today” show in August in conjunction with promoting her children’s app Moonfrye and OWN series “Home Made Simple.”

But she couldn’t deny the ladies of “The View” a little bit of booming baby excitement when she stepped in as guest host to promote her party-planning book “Let’s Get This Party Started.” Frye brought co-host Jenny McCarthy a wrapped present, saying that the sex of the baby was inside the box.

“I think we know the doctor says that this is the sex, so I have my baby’s sex in a box. So this is how we find out, we think we know,” the 37-year-old author admitted. “I’m in a little bit of denial.”

When McCarthy opened the present, she showed off the small blue baby slippers that were inside, confirming that Frye’s third child would be a boy. (Frye also shared the news with a photograph of the reveal on her blog.)

“I can’t believe it,” she said. “But the thing is I can’t imagine a penis growing inside of me, so I keep saying, ‘I think we know ... but I’m not sure.’”

Despite Frye’s denial, McCarthy asked her if she was happy -- and it seems as if the mom (and mom-to-be) is still adjusting to the idea of having a little man in the house.

“I was so shocked because I always thought that if you have two of one sex, the statistics are that you’ll have a third of the same sex. So I just thought we’d have three girls. And my girls still don’t completely believe it and they’re like, if it’s a boy we’re dressing him up!”
