Scott Disick is in rehab, reportedly to improve child-custody chances
Scott Disick checked into rehab last weekend, according to multiple reports, and is working on himself to improve his odds of access to his three children with Kourtney Kardashian.
While the news emerged in the middle of Lamar Odom’s hospitalization, the stay was underway well before Khloe Kardashian’s estranged husband was found unresponsive Monday at a Nevada brothel, a source told People, noting that Disick “wants to make it stick this time.”
Disick’s previous rehab effort commenced in mid-March — after a weekend bender — with a splashy announcement that he was getting help from a Costa Rican outfit that uses a hallucinogen to get its clients clean.
“While I have been unconvinced in the past of treatment and therapy methods, Rythmia’s rehab approach puts my worries at ease,” his incredibly promotional statement read. “The fact that there is a money back guarantee that has never been called upon gives me even more confidence. I am looking forward to starting my therapy and iboga treatment there.”
However, less than a week later, the notorious party boy ditched that rehab and headed back to L.A., reportedly because he was too busy with work to complete the three-week program.
The 32-year-old is currently at a facility in Malibu, according to TMZ, and has cut ties with “his usual party pals” in hopes of earning unsupervised visitation with Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 10 months, in the wake of his July split from their mom.
Disick has no work or appearance commitments scheduled for any time soon, E! News reported.
A source told People on Tuesday that while the two were working out a financial settlement after nearly 10 years together, Kardashian wasn’t going to “allow” Disick to split custody. “She thinks he is a drunk mess and not fit to be a parent without supervision,” the source told the magazine.
