Robin Williams, Ben Stiller helped ‘Museum’s’ Skyler Gisondo get a date

Prom season is long gone, but with Ben Stiller and the late Robin Williams involved in this invitation, the sentiment is kind of timeless.

Williams and Stiller did a solid for “A Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” costar Skyler Gisondo during production of the film, helping the 18-year-old pop the prom-date question to one Hillari Levine.

Stiller plays it straight while Williams does, well, Robin Williams, as the two sell the nice Jewish boy, good kid and “good kisser” who has his eye on a nice Jewish girl as his prom date.

Dancers? No. Cirque du Soleil performers? No. Monkey? Heck yeah.

Actually, monkey with a rose.

What girl wouldn’t say yes?

She did say yes, incidentally (a tidbit that was unearthed by Us Weekly): “AH! going to prom with the best guy out there!,” Levine tweeted at the end of April. “@SkylerGisondo knows how to put a smile on my face thank you @robinwilliams & @RedHourBen!”

Gisondo is currently filming “Vacationn,” a continuation of the 1983 Chevy Chase comedy classic “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”

In addition to the return of Chase and Beverly D’Angelo from the original flick, the cast includes Ed Helms as an adult Rusty Griswold with Christina Applegate as his wife, Leslie Mann as a grown-up Audrey Griswold, and Chris Hemsworth as Audrey’s hubby.
