Prince George gets full-time nanny: Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo
Prince George has a new nanny: Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, according to Kensington Palace, which identified the little royal’s caretaker on Thursday and asked that her privacy be respected.
Borrallo, reportedly in her 30s and described as a “Spanish super-nanny,” hails from Spain and has been employed by Prince William and Duchess Catherine, the former Kate Middleton, for a few weeks, according to the Daily Mail.
“As an employee of the Royal Household we would ask, please, that Maria’s privacy, and that of her family and friends, be respected,” a palace spokesman said (via the BBC).

“We will not be giving further details on Maria or her employment, except to say that the duke and duchess are of course delighted she has chosen to join them.”
The new full-time nanny studied at Britain’s Norland College and is expected to join the duke and duchess of Cambridge and their firstborn on their springtime trip to Australia and New Zealand.
Her Norland training reportedly includes taekwondo for self-defense, what’s being called a “pram dodge technique” to prevent a kidnapping, how to keep prying shutterbugs away from the child and how to drive in poor weather conditions, the Mail said.

Borrallo is “living in” Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace with the family, People reported.
She replaces Jessie Webb, 71, who also cared for Wills and his younger brother, Prince Harry, and came out of retirement to tend to George part time. When George was born, Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, helped out the new parents.
News that Borrallo had joined the royal household broke this month when she was photographed in the Kensington Palace Gardens — photos taken without the right permits, palace officials said. Royal Parks Police has apparently taken up the case.
George, whose full name is George Alexander Louis, is about 8 months old. He is the third in line to the British throne after his grandfather, Charles, the Prince of Wales, and his dad, Prince William.
First photos emerged of tiny tot when his parents stood outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital the day after he was born. William and Kate later released informal family portraits shot by Kate’s dad, Michael Middleton, in August, and more formal portraits of the little guy were taken by Jason Bell at his christening in October.
William, 31, who left the Royal Air Force to focus on his royal duties, recently revealed that his son was crawling and that he’s a “bouncing baby.” Earlier this week, he knighted his wife’s doctor after the physician’s 24 years of service to the royal family.
When asked at a St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Monday whether they’d be having more children, William said, “Maybe one day. One’s enough at the moment.”
